Great LCD! Finally speakers in the front! May 1, 2010 Chase B. Bohling 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought the Samsung UN26C4000, the first 26" LED on the market, at a local electronics store, and exchanged it for this TV. I couldn't be happier. That LED had bad ghosting/banding. This LN26c350 not only has great picture quality, but it also has speakers in the front! I never expect phenomenal sound from a smaller LCD TV, but this is far better than most. A lot of the smaller LCD TVs have speakers that point away from the BACK of the TV, which is just plain dumb. Also, this Samsung has really good black levels for an LCD in its class. Overall, great HD picture, 2 HDMI inputs, easy menu settings, and front facing speakers makes this the best 26" LCD TV I could find. I use it with HD U-verse service in the bedroom. I would say this is the best value and quality out there for this size. It's too bad all of the high end features go into 32" TVs and larger.
Really nice TV for the price April 22, 2010 Tina Ryan 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This TV has many pros...the color is great, the picture is crystal clear, and has many adjustments...The best part is the speakers are in front, and not on the bottom. The worst part, is accessing the sleep mode. It takes way too many steps.
Good TV July 5, 2010 Omega3 (Mpls, MN) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The picture quality is very good. I watch OTA channels only (no cable, fios, or satellite). The sound is typical of small tv's. Out of the box, the audio lacks bass; however, there is an equalizer to make adjustments or just use one of the preset modes. The bezel is big which makes the viewable screen look small. The bezel is 1.75 inches around, plus another 1.5 inches on the bottom for the speaker. I dislike the glossy bezel because it reflects light, which can be a distraction.
I have another Samsung purchased in 2008. There does not seem to be improvements in how this new Samsung tv tuner handles OTA multi-path problems. I would say it handles the same. There are some improvements in user interface. On the older tv, when changing channels, it would display the channel number and station ID on the upper right corner and, for some reason, it would show the audio mode (mono, stereo, mute) on the upper left corner. On this new tv, it only shows the channel number and station ID on the upper left corner. The onscreen display is transparent, so you can still watch the current channel beneath the onscreen display.
There is a button on the remote that brings up a list of channels and lists what program is on each channel. This saves you from switching channels to find out what else is on. Another button, the "info" button, displays a synopsis of the show you are watching. It also has a progress bar to show how much time the show has until it ends. My 2008 Samsung does not have a progress bar.
I had no problems connecting my laptop to this tv via the hdmi port. Video and audio passes through the hdmi port, which is good.
Samsung 26" LCD TV LN26C350 June 2, 2010 TomCat (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this TV because it had front facing speakers rather than the downward pointing speakers that are prevalent on most flat screen TV's. Unfortunately, the achievable volume and sound quality are rather poor.
Good TV for the price August 8, 2010 J. Bartucci (Akron, OH) Very happy with this no-frills TV - it's for use in our exercise/computer room/office and it very adequately fills the bill. Arrived earlier than expected in perfect condition. May not have all the bells and whistles of its more expensive siblings but does the job!
